Who You Help
We are a non-profit registered charitable organization run entirely by volunteers working hard to ensure every Golden brought into our program is placed with a safe and loving forever family. Since 1990, Golden Rescue has found homes for over 3,500 surrendered, abandoned, unwanted, or displaced Golden Retrievers. One hundred percent of the money we raise goes to helping our Goldens, and around 80% of those funds go to vet care and behavioural training. In addition to rescuing Goldens, we pursue every opportunity to educate the public about responsible pet ownership, and we try to assist other rescue groups as we believe the rescue community needs to work together.
Our ultimate hope is that one day Goldens, and pets in general, will not need rescuing.
